Additional Information
Each month, the Houston Gulf Coast Chapter of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) hosts its board meetings—an open forum where members & board members come together to discuss financial stewardship, educational initiatives, and opportunities for deeper community engagement. These meetings aren’t just for the board; they’re open to all members who want to contribute, collaborate, and shape the chapter’s future.
Key Areas of Focus
Our discussions center on several essential topics:
- Financial Oversight: Ensuring responsible budget management to maximize resources for impactful programs and member benefits.
- Educational Growth: Developing webinars, conferences, and professional development opportunities that equip critical-care nurses with the latest advancements in patient care.
- Community Engagement: Strengthening partnerships and outreach efforts to support nurses, patients, and the broader healthcare system.
- Membership Engagement: Fostering a connected, active membership by creating more opportunities for involvement, networking, and professional collaboration.
These meetings are a valuable space for sharing ideas, refining strategies, and reinforcing our collective vision: to empower critical-care nurses and enhance patient outcomes through education, advocacy, and leadership. Whether you’re a longtime member or new to the chapter, we welcome your voice and participation in shaping the future of nursing in the Gulf Coast region.
